Course Structure

The Certificate in Strategic Operations Management will share two modules:

  • Strategic Management (10ECTS)

This module provides learners with a firm theoretical and practical grounding in the intended and emergent initiatives, which senior managers take on behalf of the owners or shareholders of an organisation to develop and maintain long-term competitive advantage.

  • Operations Management (10 ECTS)

The primary aim of this module is to equip learners with a comprehensive understanding of the core concepts, principles, and practices that underpin the effective management of operations in various industries.

Entry Requirements

  • Higher Certificate in Business (Level 6) 120ECTS or equivalent
  • Non-standard applicants: Programmes equivalent to a Level 6, e.g. a National Diploma, may be considered for admission
  • RPL/RPEL: The Quality Assurance Handbook in Appendix 3 outlines the procedures to allow for entry based on relevant industry experience in Section 4.3.
  • International Learners: International candidates are required to have educational qualifications of a standard equivalent to those outlined above accompanied by IELTS of 6.0 if not English native speakers.
